History Of The Technique This is a manual control of pest adopted by the farmers since time immemorial in Meghalaya.
Manufacturing technique Leaves of mature plants are fold and tied with thread at the time of pest infestation. The folded leaves are kept till the peak season of pest attack 20-30 days.
Method of Preparation Few leaves of the plant are kept unfold for photosynthesis while most of the leaves are folded and tied with thread to ward off pests.
Material Composition Thread for tying the mature leaf of the vegetables. Knife, hammer, bamboo etc.
How to implement The mature turmeric leaf are folded and tied to prevent attack from the pest like leaf roller, lacewing bug and shoot borer
